I have been passionate about singing and vocal pedagogy from an early age. I began formal training aged 13 and quickly achieved my Grade 8 in Singing and Grade 5 Music theory. My passion and dedication resulted in me winning a scholarship to study Singing with Mary Wiegold at Trinity College of Music in 2006. I continued my studies of the voice alongside my academic interest in Theology, graduating from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2010, with a First class degree.

Whilst at university I won a number of academic and music prizes and held the prestigious soprano scholarship in the University Chapel Choir. After university, I was keen to explore more of the choral world into which I had fallen and so took up the role of choral scholar at St Davids Cathedral, Pembrokeshire. A brilliant experience. Whilst there, I discovered my love of teaching and so once the choral scholarship concluded, I returned to university to achieve my Post -Graduate Certificate of Education, gaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2012. Since then I have spent the past 8 years working in a variety of state and public schools, teaching pupils aged 4-18. Alongside my passion for music, I also teach Mindfulness to children and adults. I'm fascinated by how the philosophy of Mindfulness can enhance a person's vocal performance, and indeed, enjoyment.

In 2018 I was introduced to the works of Jo Estill, and the Estill Method - which takes a physiological approach to the study of Singing and the Voice. This has revolutionized my approach to teaching Singing and set me on my journey towards becoming an Estill Master Trainer. You can find out more about my journey in my Blogs. I continue to study as a singer, under the expert tuition of Bronwen Mills, and am available for bookings for weddings, funerals, and concerts, contact me for more details.
